Training Sessions

The club runs weekly coached and group sessions catering for all abilities and experience levels. In addition members also receive detailed weekly training plans which are suitable for those members that are new to triathlon up to those training for a full distance Ironman. The club uses the Bookfit app which can be downloaded from the App Store for booking and virtual sign at training sessions.

Training sessions for 2022 are as follows:

Strength & Condition
Monday 8 – 9pm in the Monread Community Centre, Naas
Fee: €30 for 6 week block
Gear – relaxed clothing, towel, water, yoga mat
(Note: the last block runs until end February)

Running Session
Returns from the start of March
Wednesday 8 – 9pm* in Naas AC track
(*to be confirmed)

Turbo
Thursday 7.45 – 9pm in the Monread Community Centre, Naas
Gear – Bike, turbo (smart or basic), skewer (optional), towel, water

Swimming Session
Saturday 7-8am in Kilashee Leisure Centre
(Note – doors open from 6.45 – 7am only)
Fee: €5 paid at the door
Gear – Goggles, hat, water and if possible pull buoy, paddles, fins

Group Cycles
Sunday 8.30am in K-Leisure Car Park, Naas
Gear – helmet, water/nutrition.
Depending on conditions warm clothing, lights & mudguards may be needed.

Novice Training

Novices: If you’re new to the sport now is the perfect time to get started. Naas Tri Club have separate training plans for beginners and the Novice training group will gradually introduce new members to swimming biking and running though our weekly training sessions and ensure you’re ready to confidently take on your first triathlon. Please note that we have introduced new protocols for our training sessions:

1)  Members should download the Bookfit App and book in advance for Running, Turbo and Sunday Cycling sessions – this is to facilitate contact tracing.

2)  Members should adhere to social distancing rules at all times.
